Panel: Latest innovation in consumer lending products

Banking Horizon panel discussions unite leaders and key experts in retail banking and financial services who are driving innovation within the industry. These discussions will give you the opportunity to interact with leading innovative thinkers and learn about the pace of change in retail banking.

One of the four panel sessions throughout the day is titled Latest lending in consumer lending products. This panel will explore the potential impact of future innovation in lending products and focus on new processes that have proven to be successful in acquiring customers for new products.

This session will be chaired by Anna Luise Laycock, Lead Strategist at The Finance Innovation Lab. Amy has a wealth of experience in campaigning and works with innovators and finance professionals to push for a fairer financial system. She is also a member of several professional bodies such as the New Economy of Organizers Network and St Paul’s Institute.

In this session he will be joined by the following panellists:

  • Eddie Humphreys, Head of Home Buyer Propositions at Allied Irish Bank. Over his 20-year career in the banking industry Eddie has held multiple positions across product management, product planning and business development. His expertise lies in delivering superior customer propositions, and he will be commenting on the importance of maintaining a human element to service.
  • Jon Hall, Managing Director at Masthaven Bank. Jon is a financial expert, with over 25 years experience in the retail banking sector and has held several senior positions at many leading financial services companies both in the UK and abroad. His most recent venture is managing director of Masthaven, a new challenger bank that aims to cater for the individual needs of each individual customer.
  • Rob Kerner, Head of Innovation Strategy at Royal Bank of Scotland. Rob’s extensive understanding of the consumer spans across multiple industries, ranging from financial services and renewable energy to the US military. He holds an Executive MBA and is a specialist in strategy implementation, customer experience and stakeholder management.
  • Amy Miller, Chief Marketing Officer at Zopa. Prior to joining Zopa, Amy held several senior management positions at Audible, Sainsbury’s and Zipcar. She is a digital executive who has a wealth of experience in marketing and product management. She holds a Master’s in Business Studies and will be speaking about what new business models have emerged in the sector.
